Our conference theme is “Cultivating Competence” Our focus this year will be on Arboricultural standards, practices & qualifications.

The Committee is interested in receiving proposals from all the professional affiliations in arboriculture: commercial arborists, consulting arborists, municipal foresters, utility arborists, climbing arborists, and others.  We are looking for programing in Spanish as well.

Strong speakers are the highest priority: Dynamic, Active stage presence. Engaging. Humorous.   We are interested in topics that are substantive and that provide material tools to attendees.  Deliverables include material, documented, measurable techniques, procedures, practices, advice, documents, or other elements that attendees can take home with them to enhance their or their organization safety, professionalism, productivity or cost-effective performance.  Our top 10 topics from the membership include; Risk Assessment, Abiotic Disorder, Biotic Disorder, Plant Health Care, Diagnostic Process, Pruning, Tree Preservation, Soil Science, Risk Management and Plant Identification

The conference committee invites you to share your experience, expertise, and professional knowledge by submitting a presentation proposal.   

The deadline for submitting proposals is 5pm, October 15th, 2023.

The preferred proposal format is submitting online through this link.  Proposals may also be emailed to Rose Epperson (repperson@wcisa.net) and If necessary, they may be mailed to WCISA 2024 Program Committee, 31910 Country Club Dr. Porterville, CA 93257.
