Establishing Tree Risk Thresholds within Arboriculture and Urban Forestry

The session will inform participants on the concepts associated with uncertainty and how to use this information to develop proactive and defensible tree risk management strategies. The session will provide new concepts that will focus practitioners toward defining thresholds that are reasonable and practical.
Mr. Duntemann is the owner of Natural Path Urban Forestry Consultants. Mark is an ISA Board-Certified Master Arborist, Tree Risk Assessment Qualification Instructor and the ISA representative to the Council of Tree and Landscape Appraisers (CTLA). Mark’s primary focus is in the area of urban forestry policy development. He has specifically focused on the development of proactive and defensible tree risk management policies. Mark has worked on over fifty tree-related fatality and injury cases. These cases inform his instruction. He speaks on the topic internationally.
