A journey through the history of ROW VM, starting with the telegraph and continuing up to today, providing historical examples of how science, economics, ignorance and politics have affected the ongoing debate over how to manage trees and overhead lines.  .

Geoff KempterGeoff Kempter is Manager of Technical Services for Asplundh. He is a member of the ANSI A300 Tree Care Standards Committee, and in the past has been a member of the ISA Board of Directors and the ISA Certification Board, where he served as Chair.  His is the author of many articles and papers, and has presented at industry functions across North America and beyond.  Geoff is an ISA TRAQ instructor, and a 1981 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources.
