What are the tree care industry’s responsibilities for wildlife in our work? This presentation will touch on the laws, ethics and best management practices around nesting birds and mammals using urban trees.
Ryan Gilpin is the Environmental Analyst for HortScience Inc. in Pleasanton, CA. He is a consulting arborist also responsible HortScience’s expanding ecological services. His educational background includes a B.S. in Environmental Biology and Management from UC Davis and a M.S. in International Nature Conservation from Georg-August-Universitat. Ryan volunteers with Golden Gate Audubon Society’s East Bay Conservation Committee.
